Children's Ministry

Sunday School

We offer formation opportunities for children from birth through 8th grade on Sunday mornings from 9:30am to 10:15am

NURSERY – (Luz Llamo and Yumali Hernandez) Children ages birth to two are cared for in our nursery by experienced, skilled childcare workers.  We have both a quiet place for rest and a large area for movement and activity.

PRESCHOOL (Led by Beth Sallenger) Three and four-year old's meet in the nursery and are taught with the Frolic curriculum from Sparkhouse.  Frolic offers an introduction to faith concepts using storytelling, music, prayers, and crafts.

ELEMENTARY (Led by Connie Holt)  Children in Kindergarten through fourth grade meet upstairs and are taught using Godly Play.  Godly Play is a Montessori based hands on presentation of Bible Stories that invite children to explore the Bible and nurture spiritual growth though wonder, play, and imagination.

Children & Youth Ministry

2026 Ministry Goals

Each year, our children and youth prayerfully select opportunities to serve our community, support mission efforts, and actively participate in the life of our church. Below are our ministry goals for 2026.

🌍 Mission Project

Operation Christmas Child & Rise Against Hunger

In 2026, we are supporting:

  • Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse

  • The Rise Against Hunger project**

Now is a great time to shop sales for discounted toys such as dolls, action figures, Matchbox cars, stuffed animals, and other small gift items.

We will collect designated shoebox items each month throughout the year.

How to Donate:
Donations may be placed in the collection box located in Anderson Hall.

🤝 Community Project

St. Timothy’s Community Blessing Box

Our children and youth help maintain the St. Timothy’s Community Blessing Box through weekly collection, organization, and restocking.

We invite the congregation to support this outreach ministry by donating nonperishable food items.

How to Donate:

  • Place items directly in the Blessing Box

  • Or leave donations in the collection box in Anderson Hall

Our children will help refill and organize items as needed.

Serving St. Timothy’s

Our youth also serve within our church family by:

  • Serving as acolytes during worship

  • Sponsoring the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

  • Creating seasonal centerpieces for Anderson Hall

Through these opportunities, our children and youth grow in faith, leadership, and service.
